Our School Day
Our School Day
Beginning of the day
Our school gate leading to the main school yard is opened at 8:50am by a member of staff. Our school day begins between 8:50am and 9am. Children enter their classroom, where they are greeted by their class teacher and begin early morning activities. This will avoid both children and parents/carers having to wait on the yard and provides a calm approach to the start of the day. The gates are locked at 9:00am, therefore you must use the main entrance and sign in your child, explaining the reason you are late.
End of the day
Reception (Lambton and Lumley) classes finish at 3:20pm and are handed over to parents/carers at the Reception garden gate.
Children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 finish school at 3:30pm. KS1 children are collected by their parents at the classroom door, whilst Key Stage 2 classes are brought onto the yard by class teachers to meet their parents/carers.
Children in Reception attend school for 31 hours and 40 minutes per week.
Children in KS1 & KS2 attend school for 32 hours and 30 minutes per week.
This does not account for the phased start to our school day. We recognise that the majority of children in all phases of school, attend an additional 50 minutes across the week.
